There is no good time to cut MacBaby's fingernails, and, when I actually do find a good time to do it, I still have a hard time ensuring that my work is even and smooth. When he was first born, a nurse recommended I bite them off, which worked for a while. But, now they're sturdier and MacBaby is wigglier.
Any tips for baby manicures? Should I just take him to Beautiful Nails with me?

I find the best time to cut our baby's nails is after a warm soaking bath. The nails are soft and with just the littlest pressure you can clip the nails.
How about using a nail file instead to just file them down a bit? I have cut my baby once with clippers, and ever since have left the task to the nanny, who does an excellent job. I feel your pain...
I cut Meredith's during her first nap of the day on Saturday or Sunday morning. I let her fall asleep in my lap. She moves around sometimes, but I still get it done in 10 minutes. I've only nicked her once, and I've done cut them about ten times now. Good luck!
